Tree exists in some weird time loop, and after confiding in a friend, she decides to use the extra time to discover her killer. However, that is much more difficult than it sounds. Tree keeps reliving the same day while making different choices in an effort to stay alive. These repetitive experiences give her the chance to change the person who she has become.
